Encaustic Art By Steve Heit Have you ever heard of Encaustic Art? Well I never did up until recently. It is art that is done with colored waxes. The medium dates back ages ago to Egyptian times. I think it's a really cool medium and love how the abstracts turn out. I really don't have an artistic bone in my body but, I can do do this lol!!! I think the medium is more popular overseas but, is slowly catching on here in the U.S. A good resource for supplies is www.encausticrocks.com. They have everything you need there as well as a gallery to purchase artwork.
